Community Wildfire Protection Program
Reduce Hazardous Fuels
Reduce wildland fire fuels across 46 parcels owned by Placer County (53 acres total). The parcels are spread across the WUI area from the CA/NV state line to the Placer County/ El Dorado County line. This project will contribute to community safety and wildfire resilience by hand thinning vegetation, removing ladder fuels, removing hazardous trees, and reducing the buildup of down woody material. The project is funded by the California Tahoe Conservancy.
