Stormwater Management Program Operate and Maintain Stormwater Infrastructure
El Dorado County intends to purchase a Vac-Con Titan Truck. The total purchase price of the new truck is $500,000, of which the County will match 50%. The current vacuum truck is outdated and according to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) needs to be replaced ASAP. The new style trucks have a single engine design that greatly reduces CO2 emissions when compared to the old double engine, less efficient models. This will result in a large reduction of CO2 that meets current air quality standards and compliance with CARB requirements. The vacuum truck is also the primary equipment used to clean/maintain water quality BMPs and County infrastructure needed to comply with the Tahoe TMDL.
