Stormwater Management Program Reduce Stormwater Pollution From: Roads and Highways, Forest Roads, Public and Private Parcels
Untreated or under-treated stormwater is being directly discharged to the Lake. The project installed 950' of conveyance pipe to connect 2 highway catchments to a new infiltration basin designed to reduce fine sediment particles, nitrogen and phosphorus delivery to Lake Tahoe. The project also stabilized 2 eroding beach outfalls and provided infiltration where possible.
