Science Program Implement Programmatic Monitoring and Reporting
The purpose of the Scenic Quality Improvement Program (SQIP) is twofold: to establish scenic management standards and criteria, and to develop site specific measures for each scenic unit (roadway and shoreline) not in attainment of the adopted scenic thresholds. The original program was adopted by the TRPA Governing Board in 1989 and has not been updated since then. The update will assess the scenic units not in attainment and outline specific measures to improve scenic quality in those units which will be implemented through project review.
