Transportation Program Build and Enhance Trail Networks
Constructed a Class I multi-use path along Lake Tahoe Blvd from Sawmill Road to the City of South Lake Tahoe city limits and connect to the Class 2 bike lanes at Viking Road. The purpose of the project was to provide access to local businesses, schools, and offices for bicyclists and pedestrians, to reduce vehicular transportation, and to enhance recreational opportunities within the Lake Tahoe Basin. This bicycle facility connected to the existing Sawmill 2 Bike Path at the Sawmill Road/ Lake Tahoe Blvd intersection.
