Sustainable Recreation Program Improve Public Recreation Facilities
Modify and modernize the Vikingsholm Parking lot, which was constructed in the 1960's, to accommodate shuttle transport, tie in with planned bike path, rectify seep holes in parking area, install BMPs, remove concrete islands and redesign for snow removal, install a contact station and welcome center for visitors and staff with educational and interpretive elements; install ADA Accessible restrooms, install a covered veranda, provide for emergency response access and response resources, install solar power electrical systems, install security gates, upgrade and modify the entrance for visitor enjoyment, ADA access, and public safety for this iconic park.
