Sustainable Recreation Program
Improve Public Recreation Facilities
Construct a new pier at Tahoe State Recreation Area Campground in Tahoe City. With the completion of the bike path adjacent to the campground, substantial increased use of campground trails and pier is causing degradation of infrastructure. Some boards on the pier have been replaced for public safety but the pier and its pilings need to be rebuilt in entirety. Additionally, CDPR would like to improve ADA access from the paved bike path to campground trails and pier.
