Sustainable Recreation Program Improve Public Access
The Lake Tahoe Public Access Strategic Investment Plan (Plan) will serve as a planning resource for future public access, where lawful and feasible, to and along Lake Tahoe’s shoreline. Ultimately, the Plan will help further attainment of the Tahoe Region’s Recreation Environmental Threshold and other regional planning objectives by providing information to direct public access funding investment over the next 5-10 years to both optimize use of existing facilities and to identify opportunities for additional public access, while considering the compatibility of public access in balance with environmental and public constraints. The 2017 effort includes CA inventory and documentation only.
