Forest Restoration Program Restore and Protect Native Fish and Wildlife
WEPD Environmental Scientist and Environmental Manager will meet with agencies that are in charge with managing fisheries to understand recovery efforts and current status of a species (ex. Tahoe Basin Recovery Implementation Team (TBRIT)). WEPD will meet with the Washoe Environmental Advisors regular to gather updates on recovery and get further input on Washoe priorities. Seasonal field crews will monitor native and nonnative fish, assist in controlling nonnative fish and AIS, and participate in reintroductions to streams and outlets of culture significance to the Washoe Tribe.
