Forest Restoration Program Restore and Protect Native Fish and Wildlife
Implement the decision to restore habitat (seven lakes, three stream miles) for native aquatic species with focus on the SNYLF within the Desolation Wilderness (completed in 2011). Fish removal was complete in 2011. This area has been monitored by partner agencies and project goals were met. Future range expansion efforts in the Glen Alpine drainage would aid in the recovery of this species and should be considered as a future EIP project.
