Community Wildfire Protection Program Upgrade Priority Water Infrastructure to Fight Catastrophic Wildfire
Reconstruction of the Cave Rock Water System to address severely lacking water supply for fire suppression and protection for both municipal and federal lands. The project consists of replacing failing and undersized infrastructure including waterlines, pumping facilities and water storage tanks. Additionally, the improvements will include an intertie to the Douglas County owned Zephyr Water Utility District water system to improve water supply reliability and redundancy. Projected O&M cost saving is reduction in water leak repairs.
