WUI Fuels Reduction for the Alpine Peaks Firewise Neighborhood

The project will create and improve a fuels reduction halo around the Alpine Peaks neighborhood located along Ward Canyon on Tahoe's West Shore. The project utilizes funding from the Lake Tahoe Restoration Act and will be taking place entirely on land managed by the US Forest Service. The project will reduce hazardous fuels and promote forest health on urban lots and on land that is 200-300' from homes in the neighborhood.
