Aquatic Invasive Species Program
Prevent, Control, or Eradicate Aquatic Invasive Species
The aquatic plant removal work being implemented above Lake Tahoe Dam is part of a multi-year lake-wide strategy to remove Eurasian watermilfoil from the nearshore of Lake Tahoe. Divers primarily use hand-pulling at this site to remove Eurasian watermilfoil that periodically appears rooted here. In 2022, surveillance maintenance of this site is being transferred to EIP Project Number 01.03.01.0037 Lake-wide Surveillance and Site Assessments. The surveillance survey area is approximately 1.6 acres.
