Watershed Restoration Program Prevent, Control, or Eradicate Terrestrial Invasive Species
The purpose of this project was to reduce noxious weed infestations throughout National Forest Systems lands within Lake Tahoe Basin, using a seasonal crew to monitor and manually treat each infestation at least once annually, with additional treatments when possible. Data on infestation size and percent cover were recorded at each site and tracked from previous years' records. The TISP project was declared complete at the end of 2017; its functions were incorporated into the Terrestrial Invasive Plant Species (TIPS) Program starting in 2018.
