Watershed Restoration Program
Restore Priority Meadows, Wetlands, and Lake Tahoe Tributaries
A multi-benefit project that has restoration, public access, and forestry elements. The Conservancy aims to restore wetland by removing fill placed from historic development, including over eight feet of fill over four acres at a former motel and 2 acres of a former maintenance yard. Additionally, the Conservancy is considering stabilizing banks, removing encroached conifers, and enhancing meadows. The Conservancy is also evaluating opportunities to enhance a portion of the South Tahoe Bikeway and provide other public access amenities.
