Watershed Restoration Program Restore Priority Meadows, Wetlands, and Lake Tahoe Tributaries
A feasibility study of the Quail Lake Creek watershed and Quail Lake dam, identify causes of concern and develop a list of prioritized projects to improve the function of uplands and riparian and aquatic/wetland ecosystems, evaluate storage capacity to meet the current and future water supply needs for aquatic, wildlife habitat, identify water resources concerns and opportunities, develop recommendations for dam retrofit, and future action with climate change. The study of each alternative to be assessed with respect to the dam infrastructure, floodplain/wetland, sediment, ecological habitat, hydrology and hydraulics, water quality/quantity, flow regimes, recreation, social impact.
