Restore Priority Meadows, Wetlands, and Lake Tahoe Tributaries
The Máyala Wáta Restoration project seeks to restore approximately 280 acres of meadow habitat in Meeks Meadow though a number of techniques including conifer removal, vegetative treatments, and cultural prescribed fire. The Washoe Tribe Environmental Protection department (WEPD) will continue working with the Forest Service on the implementation of the project.
