Stormwater Management Program
Reduce Stormwater Pollution From: Roads and Highways, Forest Roads, Public and Private Parcels
Fallen Leaf Road is ~5 miles in length from SR 89 to the south end of Fallen Leaf Lake at Stanford Sierra Camp. The proposed project will complete roadway improvements in three phases: 1) SR89 to the Campground (0.6 miles); the Campground to Tahoe Mtn (1.8 miles), and Tahoe Mtn to Stanford Sierra Camp (2.9 miles). Proposed improvements will include improving the pavement condition, eliminating substandard roadway geometry, and install drainage improvements to extend the service life of the roadway. Widening of the roadway from SR 89 to the campground will be evaluated along with paving the existing roadway pullouts from the campground to Tahoe Mountain to improve the safety for all users
