Stormwater Management Program Reduce Stormwater Pollution From: Roads and Highways, Forest Roads, Public and Private Parcels
The second phase of this water quality improvement would complete components not constructed in Phase I. The Incline Village-area project will reduce the amount of fine sediment washing into the lake and help Washoe County meet its next 5 year milestone of the Lake Tahoe TMDL and improve lake clarity. Tasks include installation of additional stormwater infrastructure, treatment BMPs, and shoulder stabilization. Benefits include improved stormwater quality release to Wood Creek & Lake Tahoe. Phase I and Phase II combined are expected to earn Washoe County 30-40 credits in the Lake Clarity Crediting Program.
