Stormwater Management Program
Reduce Stormwater Pollution From: Roads and Highways, Forest Roads, Public and Private Parcels
Purchase two (2) new Elgin Eagle PM-10 Sweepers to replace two (2) existing Tymco Sweepers that were purchased in 2008 and have exceeded Lifespan. The City of South Lake Tahoe utilizes three (3) street sweepers to remove sediment and debris from approx 259 lane miles of City roads and trails. The City purchased two Tymco PM-10 sweepers in 2008 through a combination of TRPA AQ & WQ Mitigation funds and City General Funds. The Tymco's have reached the end of usable life span (Typically 5-7 years for most agencies). The wear on internal operating parts has become severe and repair costs in both parts and labor dictate replacement is warranted.
