Stormwater Management Program Reduce Stormwater Pollution From: Roads and Highways, Forest Roads, Public and Private Parcels
The North Shore Road Transportationshed project included planning and implementation of road upgrades, stream crossings, and road decommissioning as part of a comprehensive Best Management Practices (BMP) program for roads. Where ever possible, the enhancement, protection, and reduction of coverage in riparian zones were a primary consideration. The following deliverables were completed: -Miles of roads inventoried or monitored: 56 miles -Miles of roads decommissioned: 1.7 miles -Miles of Existing Routes Improved: 41 miles - Approximately 13 miles of roads received BMPs. Work consisted of surface drainage work such as drainage dip shaping.
