Stormwater Management Program
Reduce Stormwater Pollution From: Roads and Highways, Forest Roads, Public and Private Parcels
This project will include water quality improvements for State Route 28 from SR 431 to the CA/NV Stateline. The project includes the implementation of source control measures (rock rip-rap, vegetation, and land coverage removal) for steep cut slopes and eroding shoulder areas, curb/gutter, trench drains and stormdrain piping for collection of storm water and drop inlets and water quality detention basins for treatment. This project is a high priority for water quality improvements due to its close proximity to Lake Tahoe and the presence of highly erosive cut and fill slopes throughout the project area.
