Stewardship Program Engage Communities in Environmental Stewardship
A volunteer based underwater clean-up focuses on remediating the subsurface of the lake bed via SCUBA. This project spans the entire 72-mile near shoreline circumference of Lake Tahoe. This stewardship project not only removes litter from the lakebed, but also educates the public and informs local stakeholders about the extent and types of litter accumulation in Lake Tahoe.
