Science Program
Implement Programmatic Monitoring and Reporting
The USFS Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit will conduct inventories and post-implementation monitoring in the UTR and Ward Creek watersheds. The need for these efforts is two-fold. Inventories are needed to determine the status of habitat and sensitive species. This information provides data for project level analysis but also identifies where restoration actions are needed. Post-implementation monitoring allows land managers to determine the success of restoration efforts, identify if adaptive management is needed, and/or where additional restoration actions are warranted.
