The alpine plant, Tahoe draba (Draba asterophora), is among the endemic plant species that occurs only in the Lake Tahoe region. We will assess the status, long-term trends, and demographic vulnerabilities of Tahoe draba in the northern and southern Lake Tahoe Basin (LTB). To accomplish this, we will: 1) Collate and digitize historic monitoring data of Tahoe draba populations; 2) Reestablish density and demographic monitoring transects of Tahoe draba in both its northern and southern LTB populations and monitor plants for 3 years; 3) Analyze current and historic data to quantify demographic rates, current status, and long-term trends of Tahoe draba in northern and southern populations.
