Conduct Applied Scientific Research
This project involves post-fuel treatment sampling of two paired Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park sites for birds, mammals, ground-dwelling invertebrates, butterflies, and plants. Data is analyzed to assess the effects of fuel reduction activities on wildlife potential, the long-term ecological trajectory of forests and wildlife habitat, as well as genetic analysis of tissue samples from chipmunks at both locations.
