Spooner Lake and Backcountry State Park Trail Plan

This project will update the current trails plan for the park. The primary goal of this project is to move non-motorized users off the parks service roads and improve connectivity to the backcountry trail system. A planning firm will be utilized to complete a resource assessment of the project area. The resource assessment will identify wildlife, water quality, forest health, and historical resource concerns. The team will utilize the resource assessment to identify possible trail corridors for trail construction or improvements. New trail corridors that meet the project goal will then receive further environmental review and trail construction documents will be produced.
