Transportation Program Build and Enhance Transit Systems
In the summer of 2025, this pilot program helped implement the State Route 89 Recreation Corridor Management Plan, specifically Travel Framework Phases I and II, by providing regular seasonal transit service between South Lake Tahoe and Sugar Pine State Park, with a stop at Emerald Bay, managing parking from Eagle Point Campground to north of the viaduct (approximately post mile 19), and enhancing parking and safety enforcement in the same area.
