Transit Station and Vehicle Surveillance

This projects installs CCTV cameras on-board transit and at transit stations to improve real-time information and increase safety. Increasing reliability and safety encourages increased ridership on transit services and reduces reliance on the private automobile. This will reduce emissions, positively impacting air quality and reduce pollutant load, positively impacting water clarity. This project is identified in the Tahoe Basin ITS Strategic Plan as TR-10.
