Sustainable Recreation Program Improve Public Recreation Facilities
The NTPUD, CTC, and Placer County are working together to improve Secline Beach in Kings Beach, California. Phase I includes community outreach, a needs assessment, and the development of conceptual improvement plans. Possible improvements to Secline Beach area include the construction of new public restrooms, formal picnic areas, organized kayak and paddleboard storage, e-bike and electric vehicle charging stations, and coordinated public transportation for beach visitors. Additional public access enhancements could also include walkable connections to the nearby North Tahoe Beach and Kings Beach State Recreation Area, as outlined in the current Tahoe Basin Area Plan.
