Sustainable Recreation Program
Improve Public Recreation Facilities
This project included the restoration of the upper parking lot in the North Tahoe Regional Park and construction of a multi-use regional trailhead that will receive the North Tahoe Trail being developed and constructed by Placer County. This project also developed and constructed paved ADA multi-use access paths to the Tahoe TreeTop Top Adventure Parks course, tennis courts, and the Tahoe Unleashed dog park. Approximately 62 parking spaces were striped, including three handicap spaces; installation of site amenities included bike repair stations, bike lockers and racks, and a bike wash station; and installed permanent BMPs for parking lot drainage.
