This project included the acquisition of a 206+ acre meadow property along the Upper Truckee Rive. Significant restoration opportunities (See EIP Project #01.02.01.0030 Upper Truckee River Johnson Meadow Restoration Project) will be pursued following acquisition, including filling an erosive gully channel and restoring the main river channel to function more naturally and benefit water quality and wildlife habitat. Dispersed public recreation opportunities will be provided with a future project.
