Forest Restoration Program Restore and Protect Native Fish and Wildlife
Educational signage has been installed on route to a popular hiking and climbing destination and peregrine falcon nesting site. The goal is to reduce stress on the nesting peregrine falcons at Castle Rock by educating hikers and climbers of seasonal closures and nesting disturbance. Project includes installation of permanent educational signage at the North Benjamin Trailhead and temporary signage during the nesting season.
