Forest Restoration Program Implement Prescribed Fire
Forest thinning with hand crews and prescribed fire will be implemented to reduce hazardous fuels and enhance residual tree species health. This project is designed to reduce tree densities in order to modify fire behavior to reduce the potential for a catastrophic, stand replacement fire. Forest thinning with hand crews will prepare burn plots for treatment with understory prescribed fire. Implement understory prescribed fire in four burn plots.
