Bowers/Bijou Area Fire Protection Water Infrastructure

STPUD deficiencies in fire flows and the number and spacing of fire hydrants did not meet current fire codes on several streets in the grid. The Bowers/Bijou Area is located within the South Tahoe Public Utility District service area. The properties on the street are served by undersized water mains (2 to 4 inches in diameter) and cannot support fire hydrants adequately for required fire suppression.
