Upper Kingsbury Fire Adapted Community

This three-year project will help at least 200 privately owned properties (approximately 70 acres) in the Upper Kingsbury community achieve Defensible Space compliance through home inspections, vegetation treatment, chipping services, and compostable material drop-off. The project will reduce wildfire risk by addressing cost barriers that prevent property owners from completing defensible space work. Efforts include coordinated outreach, contractor support, partial reimbursements, and Firewise community engagement to promote long-term compliance and neighborhood-wide wildfire resilience.
