Community Wildfire Protection Program Reduce Hazardous Fuels
This 23.7 acre project will complete fuels reduction treatments throughout the Diamond Peak Ski Resort. Most of the ski area has already been treated for fuels reduction through NLTFPD’s previous and on-going projects. Neighboring property consists of USFS and private property. Funding has already been secured to reduce fuels on the USFS property and NLTFPD is also implementing treatments on the private property as part of their NV Regional Fuels Reduction Project. This project area is the final piece of the puzzle that will connect over 1,000 acres of contiguous hazardous fuels reduction treatments within the WUI Threat Zone of Incline Village.
