Reduce Hazardous Fuels
The North Tahoe Fire Protection District treated 68 acres in the Dollar Point area. The treatment consisted of hand thinning followed by the creation of burn piles of the thinned vegetation on 14 acres, and mechanical cut-to-length followed by mastication of the remaining slash on 54 acres.
