Aquatic Invasive Species Program Prevent, Control, or Eradicate Aquatic Invasive Species
The Tahoe Keys is the highest priority location of invasive aquatic weed control. After the Tahoe Keys Control Methods Test (CMT) Project has completed, partners will use the extensive data collected during the CMT project to inform a holistic treatment regime for the entirety of the Tahoe Keys (both East and West Lagoons). Stakeholder engagement, planning, and environmental review will be the next step in solving this complicated infestation. Keys partners include the Tahoe Keys Property Owners Association, TRPA, the League to Save Lake Tahoe, Tahoe RCD, Lake Tahoe Water Suppliers, and the Tahoe Keys Marina. The Lahontan Water Board will also provide regulatory guidance.
