Aquatic Invasive Species Program Prevent, Control, or Eradicate Aquatic Invasive Species
The Tahoe Keys Lagoons are a series of waterways directly connected to Lake Tahoe that are almost entirely infested with invasive aquatic weeds. At over 170 acres, it is the largest aquatic weed infestation in the lake. The Tahoe Keys Lagoons Aquatic Weed Control Methods Test is collaboratively developed project that seeks to test multiple methods of weed control to gain information on what combination of methods will have the best chance of treating the entirety of the Tahoe Keys Lagoons infestation. The environmental analysis and test project was approved by boards from TRPA and Lahontan in January 2022, with implementation slated for the Spring of 2022. Implementation project 01.03.01.000
