Watershed Restoration Program Restore Priority Meadows, Wetlands, and Lake Tahoe Tributaries
There are 2 ephemeral drainages that flow into the existing Douglas County Lake Tahoe Sewer Authority (DCLTSA) emergency overflow pond. Per their NDEP permit, this clean water is pumped out to be treated at the sewer plant and then exported over the hill. These natural drainages should be flowing into Rabe Meadow as spring runoff and will help with water quantity in drought years. This project establish flow paths and SEZ areas around the existing DCLTSA emergency overflow pond and this water will eventually reach Rabe Meadow.
