Watershed Restoration Program Restore Priority Meadows, Wetlands, and Lake Tahoe Tributaries
The Greater Upper Truckee River Watershed Partnership is a collaborative initiative that will link a variety of existing resource conservation and restoration programs in the South Shore. The greater Upper Truckee watershed primarily includes the Upper Truckee River and Trout Creek watersheds, as well as adjacent watersheds, comprising most of Lake Tahoe’s South Shore area. The initial product is a concise synthesis that presents the range of existing projects and a renewed focus on landscape planning for climate resilience. The initiative will continue to evaluate resilience and identify further opportunities for community, forest, and watershed protection and adaptation.
