Restore Priority Meadows, Wetlands, and Lake Tahoe Tributaries
The Caltrans Maintenance Yard is currently located in a highly sensitive area along the Truckee River in Tahoe City, CA. This project is to plan the relocation of the maintenance yard to a more suitable industrial area and restoration of the original site to a more natural landscape. It includes plans to restore the area which will include removal of facilities and contaminated soils and restoring SEZ to its original function to improve treatment of runoff flowing into the Truckee River. This site will also increase public access and enhance recreation opportunities.
The plan has been completed.
