Watershed Restoration Program Restore Priority Meadows, Wetlands, and Lake Tahoe Tributaries
Complete a watershed assessment of the Trout Creek and Cold Creek drainages. The goal of the project is to restore and enhance Stream Environment Zone (SEZ) ecosystem function within the watershed. The work includes a general assessment of the watersheds to identify key processes or factors that may influence the planning and design of restoration opportunities. The Conservancy will identify restoration opportunities, including conifer removal, focusing on publicly-owned SEZs in the lower Trout Creek and Cold Creek watersheds, between Highway 50 and Pioneer Trail, and up Cold Creek to Powerline Trail, over approximately 280 acres.
