Watershed Restoration Program
Restore Priority Meadows, Wetlands, and Lake Tahoe Tributaries
The project is located at the bottom of the Edgewood Creek watershed which drains an area of approximately 6.6 square miles. Mixed land uses within the watershed interrupted the natural hydrologic processes, and the resulting influx of nutrients and sediment degraded the quality of the watershed. This project included construction of a new 194-unit lodge complex and a series of environmental improvements including enhanced BMPs for the lodge complex, water quality improvements to the pond system, Edgewood Creek improvements, Friday’s Station dam rehabilitation, and undergrounding of existing overhead utility lines.
