Watershed Restoration Program Restore Priority Meadows, Wetlands, and Lake Tahoe Tributaries
Cap remediation of Meyers Landfill to prevent the migration of pollutants detected in groundwater (vinyl chloride) into Saxon Creek and adjacent drinking water wells. Project completed to 75% in 2011, and remainder of construction completed in 2012; certification of performance completed in 2016. Ongoing groundwater and gas monitoring to continue in support of the Remedial Investigation for the groundwater operable unit.
