Aquatic Invasive Species Program
Prevent, Control, or Eradicate Aquatic Invasive Species
Additional containment tools are integral to Keep Tahoe Blue and free from the threat of aquatic invasive plants. There is currently no active work being completed in the Tahoe Keys Marina to control Aquatic Invasive Plants. The League to Save Lake Tahoe, along with Eco-Clean Solution Inc., is piloting first-time deployment of innovative technologies in the Tahoe Basin to continue work initiated with ECO-Clean Solutions in 2022 to address litter and microplastics with Suntex Marinas. This technology will be used to create a physical barrier between the AIP infestation in the Tahoe Keys Marina and Lake Tahoe. The work was piloted in 2023 with the use of the Pixie Drone technology.
