Parking Lot Information and Guidance System Integration/Parking Lot Detection System

The regional parking management program will utilize advanced technology expansion to display of real-time parking availability information via roadside dynamic message signs, internet applications, and mobile devices for pre-trip planning. Message signs and mobile device applications will provide way-finding guidance to public parking lots to encourage alternative travel modes. Where appropriate, integration of paid parking and regional enforcement strategies will be developed across public and private parking. This includes the VPPP pilot program for paid parking on the East Shore to generate revenues for financing of the Nevada Stateline to Stateline Bikeway.
