This is a conceptual project which may be superseded by more detailed work completed through corridor planning. Project includes increased trolley service to Camp Richardson and Emerald Bay, up to 15 daily round-trips, with an annual additional operating cost of $242,000, over and above the current operating costs for the existing service. Parking charges, assumed to be $8/day will generate revenue. Cost to install new parking areas and parking charging mechanism, $2,000,000. Cost to maintain and operate parking, estimated at $50,000 year. Total operating costs: $292,000 annually. Total Capital Costs: $4.2M ($3 M in 2017 dollars for parking construction, plus $1.2 million for two new buses).
