Air Quality & Transportation Improving Transit and Trails Connections
The South Tahoe Greenway Shared Use Trail Phases 1b & 2 is the 2nd implementation phase of the entire Greenway project. It will cross barriers and close gaps in the bicycle network to form the major north/south connection in South Lake Tahoe. The project constructs 0.95 miles of AASHTO-compliant trail between Glenwood Way and Sierra Boulevard, including 0.77 miles of 10 wide asphalt trail and 0.18 miles of elevated boardwalk/bridge. A new bike bridge over Trout Creek, improved local street crossings, and interpretive/wayfinding signage are also part of the project. The first implementation phase of the Greenway, Phase 1a, was constructed in 2015 and is described as a separate EIP project
